Autumn Hangs Heavy in the Air

The air of Autumn hangs heavy in the air. The chill of the morning frost kisses my skin before the sun has risen in the sky. Amber and gold sprinkle the horizon – the colors of fall are arriving for their fleeting moments, soon to be overtaken with the barren stillness of winter.

This is one of my favorite times of the year. The air has a different feeling to it and, depending on the time of day, it is either thick or thin – heavy or light – empty or full.

The wheel keeps turning and the quick transition from the fullness of the golden leaves to the empty limbs on the trees holds heavy on my heart.

Remember that life moves forward, whether we want it to or not.

What is Thoughtful Thursday? Well, it’s exactly as it sounds. It is a day during the week where you can jot down your thoughts as a blog post, journal prompt, etc. Some days I’ll have a question I want to answer. Some days it’s just word-vomit on a page. I encourage you to take part, too. Even if you don’t blog publicly like I do, or you don’t have an online presence. Take your Thursdays to reflect on some of those thoughts you may have. You never know. You might gain some much-needed insight.
