Working magick and writing your own spells is one of the best ways to make your spell as personal as possible. When you craft your spells, there are several things you want to keep in mind.

Who, what, when, where, why, and how?

This is my personal method for spellcrafting and I’m sure you might have some ideas as well.

Do you do anything differently? Let me know!

You don’t get to pick your Gods like you pick socks because Gods aren’t socks. From my perspective, the Gods are their own entities with their own wants, needs, and emotions. It isn’t like picking the socks you want to wear for the day, and here’s why.

I’ve never done an episode like this before, but it is something I want to explore more.

Recently, there’s a hashtag going around the Pagan community that’s causing some disruption. It’s #SayNoToPlasticWitchcraft. So, let’s talk about it.

Mabon//Autumn Equinox is the second of the three Celtic harvest festivals. It is also the second equinox, meaning that the dates will vary by year depending on the alignment of the Earth and its rotation. At this time of the year, the days and nights are equal in length, and, moving forward, we will start our descent into the dark half of the year.

Episode 31: Revisiting Theisms and My Personal Story

00:00 /

I have grown in my spirituality, and some things have shifted for me. Tune in to listen while we revisit the ideas behind the different “-theisms”, their definitions, and how I’ve grown to know them.

~ Atheism – a lack of belief or a strong disbelief in the existence of a god or any gods
~ Henotheism – the worship of one god without denying the existence of other gods
~ Monotheism – the doctrine or belief that there is but one God
~ Duotheism – not in the dictionary, but often used to describe the belief in two deities; traditional Wicca, for example
~ Polytheism – belief in or worship of more than one god
~ Pantheism – a doctrine that equates God with the forces and laws of the universe
~ Theism – belief in the existence of a god or gods

~ Hard vs. Soft Polytheism? Is it a thing?

Is Wicca inherently duotheistic? Monotheistic? That depends on how you see the Gods. Are they their own beings, or do you believe in them as archetypes? That is duotheism, not polytheism.

Can soft polytheism be a thing when, semantically, you’re just describing duotheism or monotheism if you believe all Gods are one God and all Goddesses are one Goddess?
